About Queens College

Queens College, also known as QC, is a private, liberal-arts institution, founded in 1937. The college is accredited to award bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the arts and humanities, education, mathematics and the natural sciences and social sciences.

In 2006, Prince Review has ranked the Queens College on the eighth place in edition of `America's Best Value Colleges,` USA and in 2008, Forbes.com has ranked it on the 389th place in top of America's Best Colleges.

Queens College's athletic teams are called The Knights and they compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as members of the Northeast Ten Conference, and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), in several sports, for both men and women. Their official colors are blue and gold. In 2010, the Queens College Knights Women’s Tennis Team has won the NCAA Regional Championship.
